Perennials will always grow, even in the coldest weather. They are able to endure freezing temperatures because they have deep roots that spread wide and deep beneath the soil. The less sunlight they receive, the more their roots will grow to find warmth and nutrients.
When it comes to flowers, there are endless possibilities for what uniquely speaks to you. For example, if youâre sentimental and enjoy blooming flowers that resemble loved ones, choose tulips. If youâre energetic and like brightly-colored flowers, go for daffodils. If youâre creative and like plants with interesting foliage or shapes, consider roses.
A vibrant planting scheme can inject some excitement and life into a room. Choose plants that are in season or that complement one another to create a harmonious design. Consider adding plants with brightly colored leaves, flowers, or fruit to liven up any space.
Garden should be full of life - herbaceous plants, flowers and fruit trees. It is a place where people can relax, enjoy the sun and fresh air, and get some exercise. A garden should also be a place where different plants and flowers can be found to add colour and beauty to the landscape.
Gardening is both a therapeutic activity and an opportunity to commune with nature. Many herbs have been used for centuries as natural remedies, many of which can help heal the body and improve mental well-being. Some common herbs that can be used in gardening as natural remedies include rosemary, sage, thyme, lavender, basil, mint, and dill. These herbs can be used in a variety of ways to heal the body and mind, from relieving stress and anxiety to boosting immunity and improving mood. By growing your own herbs in a garden or using them as ingredients in herbal remedies, you can create a space that is both therapeutic and calming.
I enjoy spending time outside in nature, and I think that plants can tell a story as well. I have chosen some plants that reflect my personality and interests. First, I have a beautiful rosebush that I love to smell. It is called 'Love in the Time of Cholera' and it is grown by my mom. It is a very toxic rose bush, but the smell is so sweet and calming that I couldn't resist getting one for myself! Next, I have some ivy that I bought at a garden center. Ivy is a very versatile plant and can grow in lots of different places, including near windows. It is great for covering things up and giving a neat look to your garden. Finally, I have some bright yellow Fothergilla flowers. They are called 'Gold Rush' and they remind me of the golden color of the wildflowers in Oregon.
